Akram Alshawabkeh is a George A. Snell Professor of Engineering and University Distinguished Professor, Director of the PROTECT SRP Center, the Interim Senior Vice Provost for Research, and the Interim Executive Director of the Burlington Innvoation Campus at Northeastern University.

Professor Alshawabkeh’s research interests include geo-environmental engineering, soil and groundwater remediation, electro kinetic and electrotechnical processes, contaminant fate and transport environmental restoration, and environmental health.
